We slack packed today and we are glad we did. It was a long day and everything was wet from the downpour drenching storm last night. There were lots of rocks and borders to cross as well, all slippery.
Lots of water flowing today.

Interesting sign for a spring!
Well mostly slippery for me, my new shoes felt better over small rocks in the trail but climbing over boulders they were super slippery! I slipped many times on the boulders and fell once though didn't get hurt. So it was slow going for me. Jen beat me out and was waiting for me in the car today.

Jen saw 4 deer and I saw one on the trail. No other critters on the trail though.
Saw the remnants of someone's failed shoe on the trail.

This pile of rocks is at the start of a blue Blaze trail to the Pinnacle view, didn't walk to it but I thought the rock pile was cool. No word of what's it's from.

Afterwards we went to Crackerbarrel for dinner and then to Logans Roadhouse for a beer and appetizer before driving to the trailhead to camp and be ready for tomorrow!
