Zero June 21 - ?

Zero June 21-? 

So today we planned to take a zero to rest and do a thing.  With slackpacking we have been tenting in odd places like parking lots.  After tenting in parking lots (see June 18) we decided to improve our comfort and safety we got this.

It was an all day process as we bought it and mounted it directly to the Pathfinder roof rack but discovered it didn't provide the proper base for it and then needed to drive to DC, yes I said DC to a company that sells roof racks so we could get the proper cross bars for our car.  We then had to find a dry place to add the bars and we got lucky and found a car wash!  

Here it is properly mounted on Yakima bars.

 Hours later it was properly mounted and we headed off to a state park parking lot for the night so we would be staged to slack pack in the morning.

No pic of it set up from the outside but this is the inside, big and roomy.

Jen picked this place because it had bathrooms and boy am I glad we stayed there.  Overnight I visited the bathroom no less than 5 times, appears I am the lucky recipient of Noro virus!  It was a long night and in the morning we found an as reasonable priced hotel to ride it out.

Spent June 22 in bed all day, it's now the 23rd and I'm moving but slow, we are here another night in case Jen gets it too, ugh.

Note we thought shampoo and refrigerators were standard in all hotels but not Motel 6!  Not staying at one of these again!
