Today's hike was through more of an urban area than any other day so far. Yesterday was through part of Harper's Ferry but it had more of a historical feel to it. Initially for me it started near the backpacker Campground which was near this cool old church.
The trail then went through a state park, Washington monument park I think.  I didn't stop to see it as I didn't know how quick I would be able to walk.
 Walked over a major highway and between a couple houses today.

Jen experienced trail magic twice while only one was still around for me. We slack packed again while I gain my trail legs and strength again.

Afterwards we cleaned up at the camp ground and went to eat in Franklin, same restaurant we went to yesterday because it was cheap and great. We then went looking for ice cream and Google took us to we think the old downtown of Franklin which was very cool to walk in.

Day 51 June 6 Days miles 15.1 AT Mile 802.3 Stayed at Inn Hiking time 6hr Pass plus/minus: +6 Critter Rescue -  2 Total Deer seen - 2 today, 23 total Today Jen and I slackpacked which is hiking without all your gear, all we carried was water, snacks and rain gear, so super light.   We see a lot of hikers doing this and we figured why not try it.  Doing this we had to hike alone in opposite directions, I left her at the northern end to hike south and I drove to the last place we stopped on the trail yesterday and hiked north. When she gets to the car she comes and picks me up. Was a pretty standard day for me hiking, it was more about seeing how my back felt hiking without weight on it.  Jen did get to see the dog Huckleberry and his human HH which was exciting for her.
