Total Deer seen - 1 today, 21 total
We Camped last night with Laura and Paul and chatted with them while they had their smorgasbord dinner. Was in bed by 7ish last night as we had another big day today.
We were up at 5am and on the trail by 6 so we would have more time to walk and rest and get 19 miles under our belts to get out.
The forest here was beautiful as you can see.
On top of Apple Orchard bald was this cool weather station, which we also could see from the shuttle car on highway 81.
We passed under the infamous guillotine Rock formation, very cool.
Did you know hang gliders are NOT permitted on the AT, hmmm.
A couple cool views from the ridge we walked today.
Saw 2 deer today but only a pic of one.
And we saw a snake!
We walked over this bridge to end the days hike, it was the old train trestle but too narrow for modern trains. It was converted into a foot bridge for the AT on 2020.

We got to the pick up spot early and had messaged the shuttle driver but he never responded so had to wait 2 hours to be picked up, ugh! But we are out for the night and will be back on trail tomorrow.
