Caught shuttle at the Mt. Rogers Visitor center to Marion, Stayed at Merry Hiker Hostel

So the town of Marion has a free shuttle to town 3 times a day from a visitor center outside of town. We wanted to catch the 11:45 shuttle and should easily make it leaving at 7am. Another hiker we were walking with called while we were hiking to say we wanted on it and the driver said he will be there at 11! That is a lot earlier so we put our heads down and all hiked as fast as we could.
This is one of the more posh shelters on the AT, can even get pizza delivered here.

It was a great day to hike and scenic.
The other hiker Khevin was a section hiker and was getting out early because his dog died at home and wanted to get back. His car was parked at a hostel an hour away and his credit card had been compromised and turned off so only had the cash in his pocket. We gave him a ride to his car to help him out.
