Day 28 Apr 29 Zero Day Get Allagash

Sorry so late in posting these last few entries.

So the shuttle driver agreed to pick us up at 630 am and drive us an. hour away to an airport to get a car, aawesome. We got back in time for our free pancake breakfast, yes that is apparently a thing down here, multiple pancake house restaurants on the main drag.

Afterwards we headed to get Allagash at the kennel and boy she was excited to see us!

I mentioned we were staying in Pigeon Forge as that is where the kennel was. It is NOT a hiker town, far from it. This is where Dollywood is and it is a major tourist trap town!  

Since we had time that afternoon and didn't want to spend it in Pigeon Forge we headed off to see a couple friends we had made on the trail that were ahead of us in Hot Springs. It was a great drive over there and we hung out with them at a brewery and had a late lunch. Really cute town, and as it's called I guess there is a place there where you can hang out in a hot tub that is heated by natural hot springs!

So as I said before my back has been bothering me and we have decided to bring Allagash home.When it's hot it's hot for a long time like all afternoon and it's really not even hot yet.  The heat is really hard on her so we will be going home and figuring out our next plans to come back to the trail, stay tuned!
