Day 17 Apr 18 Wesser Bald Tower

Stayed at stealth site just before Wesser shelter.
Got started at 8:10 great for us and before most at the shelter. It was really cold last night, really windy. I had my base layer on and socks and was still chilly on the windward side! It was cool for the first half of the day and we made great time, stopped for lunch at a camp site around 1pm and ate a dinner to have a longer break. It started getting hotter as the afternoon wore on.

We had trail magic at Tellico Gap from a person who thru hiked last year. He gave us a lead on a great stealth site that we are staying at.
We climbed Wesser Bald and took a break in the shade of the tower. They call the AT the green tunnel but I can tell you there is no shade yet!
After setting up camp our friends Laura and Paul caught up and visited with us. They are faster and will be to the NOC a day before us. We are trying to figure out the logistics of meeting up with the kennel at Fontana dam for them to pick Allagaah up.
