We see a lot of hikers doing this and we figured why not try it. Doing this we had to hike alone in opposite directions, I left her at the northern end to hike south and I drove to the last place we stopped on the trail yesterday and hiked north. When she gets to the car she comes and picks me up. Was a pretty standard day for me hiking, it was more about seeing how my back felt hiking without weight on it. Jen did get to see the dog Huckleberry and his human HH which was exciting for her. We both saw the memorial for the 4 year old boy who died on a mountain back in 1891, memorial is here. You can hear about this story in an episode of The Green Tunnel podcast. ...

Another exciting thing was a trash can. It's alot like hiking in Maine now, varies from pine needle covered forest floor with roots to rocks and then borders you have to scramble over.
